Style Shoot Love

In case you don’t already know, at 36th Street Events we LOVE to play and get creative – especially when we can collaborate with fabulous vendors and have fun with new styles and ideas! This past Spring we were able to do just that when the lovely ladies of Half Orange Photography invited us to participate in a styled shoot for their photography workshop, MerryMaking.

So when Stancy and Katie asked if we wanted to help with their upcoming workshop in August we immediately agreed and have been having so much fun with the “Italian Harvest Wedding” theme – magnifico!

MerryMaking is perfect for budding photographers who want to grow their business, and experienced photographers who just want to brush up on some skills and have a great time with some amazing people. You can get more information and sign up HERE.

And of course, stay tuned this Fall for all the pretty photos!

Ciao!

Emily Eppright Kirchner {Bridal Session by Brian Wills and Jason Allen}

Well now, isn’t it just perfectly fitting to share a bridal session at the Texas State Capitol during the Fourth of July holiday?  Meet Emily Eppright Kirchner, one of the most laid-back and exceptionally beautiful brides you could ever hope to work with. Emily works at the Texas House of Representatives and incorporated the beautiful architecture of the capitol in her bridal session.

Keep an eye out, as we look forward to sharing Emily and Tim’s gorgeous Texas Federation of Women’s Clubs Mansion wedding soon! For now, please have a happy and safe Independence Day weekend, from 36th Street Events!

MeLissa Nemecek - July 17, 2013 - 12:11 pm

I work with Emily and she is beautiful inside and out….so is our capitol. :)

Austin Love

Picture by Friends of Deep Eddy

Here at 36th Street we love all things romantic, including unique ideas for treating your honey to a date night!

This summer, we recommend Deep Eddy Splash Movies. Grab a picnic basket, swimsuit and your sweetheart and prepare for a romantic evening floating under the stars.

July 6th: Grease (PG)
July 13th: Hunger Games (PG-13)
July 20th: Amazing Spider-Man (PG-13)
July 27th: Wreck-It Ralph (PG)
August 3: The Avengers (PG-13)

Below are some helpful tips to make date night stress-free!

-  Adult tickets are $3 each, so you can feel free to really splurge on picnic treats.

-  Splash movies start at dusk (around 8:30pm to 9pm).

-  To set up a good seat, note that the screen is set up across from the hillside on the shallow end of the pool.

-  A flotation lounge or inner tube is perfect for floating while watching the big screen, but many people also set up chairs or blankets on the hillside.

-  Address is 401 Deep Eddy Ave, Austin, TX 78703

For more information, visit Friends of Deep Eddy.

Markia + Jeff {36th Street Wedding by Jenny DeMarco Photography}

Marika has impeccable taste, and 36th Street was so excited to come on board and make her vintage, 20s-style wedding come to life.  Her color scheme consisted of muted raspberry, dusty rose, peach, beige and greens.  She took inspiration from her own personal pieces she loved, created some custom items to mix in and allowed 36th Street to handle the styling on the day of her wedding.  Pair that with some of the most talented vendors in Austin, and you get this gorgeous wedding!
